Fully Funded South Australian Public Schools
South Australia has signed up to the ‘Better and Fairer Schools Agreement,’
This means that after a decade of neglect, South Australian public schools will be fully and fairly funded.
It will give South Australian Public Schools an extra 1 billion dollars over next 10 years.
This represents the biggest investment in South Australian public schools by the Australian Government – ever.
It’s not a blank cheque; it’s tied to:
A year 1 numeracy and phonics check,
Greater access to mental health professionals
Access to high quality and evidence based professional learning for teachers
Initiatives that attract and retain teachers
At a practical level, it will mean more support for kids in the classroom.
It will mean more support for our public school teachers who do life changing work every day.
